The SSD I purchased was a WD Blue 3D NAND 2TB SSD. I was told initially to do a fresh install of Windows, but after telling folks in the Discord that there are 6 users in this system with their own stuff, they told me to go ahead and clone the stuff on the hard drive over to the SSD. Preface: The 2012 Lenovo desktop my family uses has become a tad slow over the years so I encouraged my parents to buy an SSD to replace the HDD.
